Transnistrian refugees organized a new action of protest in front of the mayoralty of the capital

Nearly 30 members of the Transnistrian Refugees' Movements (MRT) organized on Thursday a new action of protest in front of Chisinau Mayoralty. They are dissatisfied with the fact that the authorities of the capital do not give them bills of distribution of flats in a houses situated on Ginta Latina Street, constructed specially for providing houses to Transnistrian refugees, DECA-press Agency informs.
The members of MRT occupied this house in August 2007, despite the fact it had not been officially given for use. They declaed they had done so because they had some information according to which police officers wanted to occupy the house built for them.
The Mayoralty insists on making refugees leave the house and come back there after they would be distributed bills for accomodation.
Refugees declared at the action of protest that the members of their families are deprived of the most elementary conveniences, because the authorities refuse to the connect the house to heating source and other services.
Protestors carried posters with the messages: „Obey the Constitution!”, „Chirtoaca, you betrayed us!”, „No bureaucracy!”, „No corruption!” etc. // DECA-Press
