Gagauzia requests moldovan parliament to improve conditions for learning moldovan in autonomy

The National Assembly of Gagauzia requested the Moldovan Parliament to optimize the conditions of learning the state language by the autonomy’s citizens.
The appeal says that Moldova is a multinational state, where Ukrainians, Russians, Gagauzes, Bulgarians, Jews and Gypsies live together with Moldovans, that is why, the learning of the state language by all Moldova’s citizens must become one of the priorities of this state.
The National Assembly stresses the unsatisfactory level of the teaching of the official language and that fact that in educational institutions the methods of its teaching as a native language are applied that engenders problems for mastering this language, as each ethnic group has its own language.
“As a result, youths have no complete possibility to be integrated into Moldova’s political and economic life”, the appeal says.
Speaker Marian Lupu greeted the appeal by the Gagauz Parliamentarians, whose appeal, in his opinion, deserves attention and must be supported.
He considers that this problem must become one of the state’s priorities and it calls for studying it thoroughly and in detail.
On his proposal the Parliament will take a decision on setting up a special commission, which task will be to study the problem and to work out a program on the learning of the official language by the republic’s citizens of other nationalities.  // Infotag
