A throne and two monastery stalls for rulers are exhibited at the Museum from Orhei
In the room „Medieval History” of the Museum of History and Ethnography from Orhei town, a throne and two stalls from Curchi Monastery have been exhibited. According to the estimations of the representatives of the museu, they are over 200 years old, DECA-press informs.
The throne and the two stalls were made of wood by an unknown handicrafstman. They are glossed with silver. Experts say that these objects were meant for rulers' families which participated at the divine services from monasteries. The throne was not used by high post church representatives. The representative of the Museum from Orhei, Vasile Bajan, declares that the throne and the two stalls stayed in the storage house of the museum. According to him, they are exhibited for visitors for the first time. It is not excluded that the young kind Mihai stayed long time ago on this throne, Bajan asserts.// DECA-Press Publication date: 30 January 2008 Source: Archive
