The public library from Calarasi declared the year 2008 as the „Year of Reading”. This action will be held in over 40 libraries from the district, the territorial reporter of DECA-press Agency transmits.
The director of the institution, Galina Agafita, says that the main aim of this campaign is an attempt to turn people to reading books, despite the informational technology progress proves to be the most accessible source of information for the population in the district of Calarsi.
Within the „Year of Reading”, different contests will be organized, including the contest „The most devoted reader”, „The best reader”, „The youngest reader”. Moreover, the campaign is meant to wake the local public authorities' awareness as far as the purchase of book is concerned. // DECA-Press
