Servicemen from Ministry of Justice of Romania involved in illegal network which urged procedure of re-obtaining Romanian citizenship: Valentin Zubic says
Two servicemen from the Ministry of Justice of Romania are involved, as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Valentin Zubic says, in an illegal network that urges the procedure of re-obtaining the Romanian citizenship by the Moldovan citizens.
On January 12, they revealed an illegal network that was providing services of re-obtaining and urging the process of re-obtaining Romanian citizenship, through two servicemen from the Ministry of Justice from Romania, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Valentin Zubic said on Tuesday, January 15, at a press conference. The group includes more people, including two Moldovan citizens with Romanian citizenship, one of whom lives in Chisinau, where he was caught in fragrant, and another one lives in Bucureşti, according to Zubic. “The group was being followed by the police during seven months. The Moldovans paid 150 - 300 euro to re-obtain the citizenship. By this scheme, 135 citizens of Moldovans re-obtained the Romanian citizenship, and another 565 submitted their cases, which are being examined”, Zubic added. Moldova’s Prosecutor’s Office sent the necessary materials regarding the case to the competent authorities from Romania so that they determine the degree of guilt of those two. // BASA-Press Publication date: 18 January 2008 Source: Archive
