*Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who said he performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery on the mother of Kanye West sometime before her death, has released a statement in the wake of a tumultuous Tuesday that saw his history of DUI arrests and multiple malpractice lawsuits against him come to light.

"I want to first express my deepest condolences to the West family at a very difficult time," Adams said in the statement.

"As a medical doctor practicing in this field, I hold sacred the bond of confidentiality that exists between the patient and doctor. Out of respect of the West family and the absence of verifiable information any comment without having first discussing that information with the family would be unprofessional."

Dr. Adams said Monday that he has done nothing wrong in performing cosmetic surgery on Dr. Donda West, who died Saturday night after she stopped breathing at her Playa Del Rey home.

"Access Hollywood" reported Tuesday that to make an appointment with Dr. Adams, patients must send him an e-mail and wait for one of his staff members to call back and arrange an appointment. The program also visited to the address listed when his medical practice was Googled. The address was a Mail Boxes Etc. location on Santa Monica Blvd.
