Teens kill and decapitate for the 'thrill'
A prosecutor in Michigan has labeled the decapitation slaying of a 26-year-old man, allegedly by two teenage acquaintances, a "thrill kill."
Wayne County prosecutor Kym Worthy said Jean Pierre Orlewicz, 17, of Plymouth and Alexander James Letkemann, 18, of Westland were being charged with premeditated murder, felony murder and mutilation of a corpse, The Detroit News reported Monday. They face sentences of up to life in prison if convicted. "All of us have seen every type of crime available and why someone would kill for the thrill of it amazes us," Worthy said at a news conference in Northville Township, where the body of Daniel G. Sorensen of River Rouge was found Thursday in an undeveloped subdivision. His head was found Saturday in Dearborn Heights. He had been stabbed to death, his head sawed off and his body burned with a blow torch, authorities said. Worthy also said the teens planned the time and place of the crime. She said they also put down a tarp and had cleaning supplies on hand to wash away the blood. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International Publication date: 13 November 2007 Source: Archive
