Approximately 15 pensioners from Balti managed to negotiate, over the fence, with the president Vladimir Voronin and the mayor of the locality, Vasili Panciuk, the promise regarding the arrangement and the cleaning of the district they live in, DECA-press Agency informs.

The pensioners managed to talk to the head of the state, gathering at the fence of the Mental Health Centre „Somato” from Balti, inspected on Thursday, by the president. They complained to Voronin about the bad quality of the roads from the district, about the lack of street lights, asking the president to contribute to the improvement of the situation.

Vladimir VoroninPresident Voronin gave ad-hoc orders to the mayor Vasile Panciuc to solve the problem of roads and street illumination in this district by the end of the current year and make some actions of decoration and cleaning of the district. Vladimir Voronin confessed in front of the old people gathered at the fence that, even if great efforts are made for the development of the country, there are also some difficult situations. At the same time, the head of the state discussed with the pensioners, also over the fence, about the effects of the drought recorded in the current summer and about the accumulations to the state budget. // DECA-Press
