At the act 50 person from the left bank of Nistru river participated, who crossed both ways the bridge linking Vadul lui Voda town (Chisinau municipality) to Dubasari district. The youth distributed information leaflets to pedestrians, drivers and passengers. Leaflets contained messages condemning the conditions to which inhabitants of the region are subjected to for the last 15 years, as well as arguments against needless posts from the region. Young people pleaded for respect of human rights, insurance of the right to free movement within the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova, removal of all control posts and abolition of all taxes and payments collected. Moreover, the youth pleaded for territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.

The act has unfolded peacefully and without any incidents, the group put forth civic responsibility and interest for human rights protection equally to all citizens. Promo-Lex Association legally assisted the act of the „Youth of Left Bank of Nistru” Association.

Promo-Lex Association states a significant increase of cases infringing the right to free movement in the region and condemns the lack of attitude of national authorities for the severe problems of the Transnistrean region inhabitants and persons transiting the territory.

Promo-Lex Association concludes that in the Transnistrean region numerous cases of right to free movement infringement are recorded not only of the region inhabitants and state officials and representatives, but of the foreign citizens and foreign diplomatic missions’ representatives as well.
