Woman cuts out tongue after losing husbandAn Indian woman cut out her own tongue and offered it to God in hopes it would help her find her missing husband. Shaila Bai, 50, reportedly cut out her own tongue with a razor at Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath temple, The (Calcutta) Telegraph reported Sunday. Bai and her husband came to Varanasi May 23 to take a holy dip in the Ganga and offer their prayers at the temple, but police said her husband then went missing. And when the woman couldn't find him, she decided a sacrifice to God was in order.
