Antena-C radio and Euro-TV-Chisinau channel sold to private persons

Moldova's citizen Dmitrii Liuticov has become the new owner of the Antena-C municipal radio station and Igor Boldureanu has become the owner of the Euro-TV-Chisinau channel. They were recognized as the winners of the privatization tender, announced by the Chisinau Municipality in mid-December 2006.

As Infotag has already reported, Liuticov was the only candidate for purchasing the radio station.

As a result of three-day direct talks he agreed to pay 1.5 million lei (euro 88.2 thousand) for Antena-C, to repay its debts and to invest 3 million within the near three years.

The Music Master industrial-commercial company and Boldureanu submitted applications for the privatization of Euro-TV. The commission preferred the latter one. He pledged to pay 2 million lei (euro 117.6 thousand) for the TV channel and to invest 25.2 million lei into its development.

The Antena-C radio station was set up in 1998 and the Euro-TV channel - in 2002. On April 7, 2004 they were registered as municipal TV and radio institutions. According to some estimates, the Euro-TV property is evaluated to be worth 1 million lei (about euro 59 thousand) and Antena-C - 300 thousand lei (euro 17 thousand). The mass media's collectives disagree with the Chisinau Municipality's decision to sell the radio station and the TV channel. // Infotag
