Moldovan air companies not to provide flights to high-risk states

The State Administration of Civil Aviation (ASAC) today issued an order, under which it will further deny the approval of contracts on leasing airplanes registered in Moldova for flights in the states of high-risk.

Sources at the ASAC have told MOLDPRES that under the order, the leasing contracts should include the following special clause: the air company registered in Moldova will not conduct flights to the states, in which the air space is not effectively controlled by the civil aviatic authorities, as well as in the high-risk zones (zones in which the international insurance organizations do not cover the operating risk).

Moreover, the ASAC recommended the air companies to cease flights to the countries the air space of which is not effectively controlled in line with the international rules and standards by the civil aviatic authorities, and in the zones with increased risk.

The analysis of the preparation level of the crew of the AN-26 airplane that crashed on 9 January, during a flight on the route Adana (Turkey) - Balad (Iraq), proved the excellent professional training of the pilots and other crew's members, based on working experience, which allowed promptly react in difficult flying conditions, including through dense fog.

As many as 34 people, including five members of the crew died within the accident of the AN-26 airplane, belonging to the Moldovan airline, Aerian-Tur M. Only one Turkish citizen survived. // Moldpres
