Luxembourg's 20-year-old Prince Louis and commoner to marry in low-key ceremony

Prince Louis, the 20-year-old son of Grand Duke Henri of Luzembourg, marries commoner Tessy Antony on Friday in a low-key church service, seven months after their first child was born.

The Grand Duchy's royal palace said the ceremony would take place "in a restrained family circle" of guests at the parish church of Gilsdorf, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northeast of the city of Luxembourg, at the church where Louis and his girlfriend Tessy christened their son, Gabriel, who was born March 12 in Geneva.

The parents and siblings of the bridal couple were to attend, local media reported.

Louis third son of Henri and Duchess Maria-Teresa will drop his rights of succession to the throne of the tiny Duchy and those of his heirs in return for his family's and government's blessing of the marriage.

The prince, however, will be able to keep his title and family last name "de Nassau," but his wife will not gain the title of princess, reports AP.

Gabriel is the first grandchild of Henri and Maria-Teresa. The announcement of his birth out of wedlock was a shock to conservative royalists here. The couple met during a military mission to Kosovo in 2004. Both are employed in the Luxembourg armed forces. // Pravda.Ru
