Moldovan young people can apply for Greek college scholarships
Perrotis College located in Thessaloniki, Greece, a branch of American Farm School, has announced a scholarship contest for young people from Moldova.
Perrotis College offers degrees in International Agribusiness and in Agri-Environmental Systems, with specializations in the following areas: International Agribusiness Management, Marketing Management for the Food Industry, Agritourism, Precision Agriculture, Urban Landscape and Xeriscape Technology, Livestock Management. The language of instruction is English, the degrees being validated by the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Students will reside in dormitories within Perrotis College campus, where full boarding services are provided. Students will gain practical work experience conducted on the campus farm during the academic training and two summer internships in Greece, Balkans, Europe or the U.S. Eligible criteria are the Baccalaureate or Secondary Vocational Diploma and good academic performance (minimum acceptable mark is 6 on a subject-by-subject basis, except for English language). Students showing lower level of English language than requested for successful academic process will be offered intensive language courses. Financial aid packages that include scholarships will be offered on the basis of academic merit and financial necessity that will be demonstrated by the applicant. Mexican jaguar gets dental work in Phoenix
A jaguar from Mexico recently had dental work done at the zoo in Phoenix by a father-son team. The Arizona Republic reported Saturday that veterinary dentist Chris Visser and his son Louis, a dentist who normally works on humans, performed four root canals and three extractions on the big cat.The newspaper said an armed man stood watch as a total of six doctors worked on the cat's mouth just in case it unexpectedly came out of anesthesia.
