Chisinau schools will be ready to start work in due time
All the Chisinau schools will be ready to resume work by August 28.
At Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, said that the classrooms of the Chisinau schools are 93% ready for the new school year, while the roofs damaged by this summer’s torrential rain have been repaired. Tverdohleb also said that more than a half of the children from vulnerable families have already received 600 lei in aid, as opposed to 500 lei a year before. This year, the Chisinau City Hall has allocated more than 4 million lei for providing aid to 7,710 children from socially vulnerable families, as against 6,710 children last year.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 18 August 2008 Source: Archive
