Termocom disconnects indebted consumers
The Chisinau heat supplier Termocom SA started to disconnect the consumers in debt from the heating system.
According to Termocom, the administrators of the housing sector and the Chisinau City Hall do not take the appropriate measures to reduce the debts. The heat supplier says that the Chisinau authorities should inspect the housing sector and do so that the housing administrators cooperate with the local residents so that the latter pay for the public utilities in due time. Given such circumstances, Termocom says that it will supply heat only to the apartment buildings that fully pay for consumption. The heat supplier also said that all the 60 housing administrators have been warned that the indebted consumers would be cut off from the hot water supply and heating systems. As a result, the buildings managed by 19 of them repaid the debts partially or fully. The rest of the blocks (41) have been disconnected and will be reconnected after they settle the debts and pay the reconnection tax of 313.80 lei.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 13 August 2008 Source: Archive
