Transdniestria seeks help from international community
The Transdniestrian authorities launched an appeal to the international community, asking it to provide humanitarian aid to the flood-affected Transdniestria.
According to the region’s authorities, Transdniestria’s economy received a serious blow. The flood waters inundated hundreds of houses and administrative buildings and thousands of hectares of agricultural land. Converted swimming pools for new housing?
A Sydney architectural firm suggests converting some of the area's 360,000 swimming pools into mother-in-law apartments -- draining them first.Nobbs Radford Architects' proposal was the runner-up in the Architecture Australia Prize for Unbuilt Work, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
