Transdniestria residents can continue applying for Moldovan identity cards
The Moldovan citizens living on the left bank of the Dniester can continue applying for identification documents from the national passport system.
The Government of Moldova on July 23 decided to extend the term for issuing identity cards to the Transdniestria residents, which expired on July 1, until December 31, 2008. The executive said that the people living in the eastern districts of the country should be supported further given their increased interest in the given benefit. ![]() According to the Ministry of Information Development, about 250,000 people have applied for Moldovan identity cards while the Government’s decision has been in force. Converted swimming pools for new housing?
A Sydney architectural firm suggests converting some of the area's 360,000 swimming pools into mother-in-law apartments -- draining them first.Nobbs Radford Architects' proposal was the runner-up in the Architecture Australia Prize for Unbuilt Work, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
