Automated traffic control systems will be installed in Chisinau
Automated traffic control system will be set up on the Chisinau roads with the assistance of China. At its last meeting, the Government approved the plan of measures for improving road security.
Under the Government decision, the overhaul stations will be outfitted with new equipment, while the traffic police will be provided with new equipment for measuring the level of alcohol in the blood. There will be worked out a national standard on the technical condition of the units of transport and the mechanism for implementing the Euro-2 standard for imported secondhand cars. A specialized center will be created to reequip the cars for persons with locomotory disabilities. From this September, the first-ninth graders will study a new subject – road safety. Special attention will be paid to driving schools.
