New buses will transport passengers in Chisinau
Fourteen new buses will start working in the municipality of Chisinau as from July 21. The buses will travel on Stephan the Great Blvd. and will connect the districts of Botanica and Buicani.
According to Ruta-Prim SRL, the company that purchased the units of transport, the buses are expected to transport about 10,000 passengers a day. They will work between 06.00 and 23.00. The buses were bought under an agreement signed by Ruta-Prim and Hyundai. The South Korean producer has announced that it plans to expand into Moldova and open a permanent representative office and service centers here. If the plans are carried out, Hyundai will create about 500 new workplaces in Chisinau. This is for the first time that the private sector approved of the local authorities’ initiative to replace the minibuses working in Chisinau with modern buses that have a larger capacity.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 15 July 2008 Source: Archive
