Head of state proposes modifying Enforcement Code
President Vladimir Voronin put forward a legislative initiative for amending the Enforcement Code.
According to the presidential press service, the bill stipulates that the creditor is obliged to pay for the necessary execution procedures in advance. The costs are calculated according to the tariffs fixed by the Government. All the enforcement-related expenses paid in advance will be covered by the person blamed in a given case. The state will cover the given expenses for certain categories of people and for those that will prove that they cannot pay such costs owing to their difficult financial situation. The amendments aim to enhance the enforcement of court decisions, reduce the number of non-implemented court decisions and of the number of cases lost at the ECHR over non-fulfillment of court decisions.//REPORTER.MD Publication date: 11 July 2008 Source: Archive
