Young people that want to continue studies in Romania can file applications to Romanian Embassy
The Romanian Embassy in Moldova has started to accept applications for scholarships to study in state pre-university education establishments and universities in Romania offered by the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth.
According to the Romanian Embassy, the applications for the 2008-2009 academic year can be submitted directly to the consular section of the Embassy located on 2 Gr. Ureche St in Chisinau. Those that apply to secondary schools and colleges can file applications during July 14-24, between 16.30 and 20.30 from Monday to Friday, and between 9.00 and 13.00 on Saturday and Sunday. The young people that apply for university scholarships can submit applications during July 5-25, between 16.30 and 20.30 from Monday to Friday, and between 9.00 and 13.00 on Saturday and Sunday. Details about the necessary documents and the selection procedure are available on the Romanian Embassy’s website - http://chisinau.mae.ro/index.php?lang=ro&id=657 or on the website of the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth of Romania - http://www.edu.ro/index.php/articles/c27. Romania provides 2,442 scholarships to Moldovan young people to study in Romanian high schools and universities in the 2008-2009 academic year. This is by about 400 places more than last year. The admission contest will be held between July 7 and 31. This year, the Moldovans can apply for 1,050 places in high schools, 1,392 places in universities, 227 places for master’s degree studies, 35 places for doctoral studies and 30 places for resident studies. The students will be admitted to studies on the basis of the general mark at the last secondary school exam and the general mark for the years of study.
