Building of Eugen Ionesco Theater will be repaired by October
The new headquarters of Eugen Ionesco Theater, the building of the former recreational center Moscow located on Renasterii Blvd in Chisinau, will be repaired by this October. The Government has committed itself to identifying the financial resources needed for the first renovation stage.
Under the Government Decision approved on July 2, the building will be repaired in two stages. The first stage will include the reconstruction of the stage, performance hall, piping system, roof etc. The works are assessed at about 12 million lei. When rectifying the budget law for 2008, the Government has allocated 3 million lei for repairing the building of Eugen Ionesco Theater. The building from Renasterii Blvd was purchased by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for Eugen Ionesco Theater, which is now housed by the Center of Culture and Arts “Ginta Latina”.// Reporter.MD Publication date: 03 July 2008 Source: Archive
