Senior police officer accused of misuse of power
The Court of Straseni district will examine the legal case instituted against a senior prosecution officer of the district police commissariat over misuse of power.
According to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Oarza Ion is accused of asking US$3,000 from a woman earlier this year for influencing the prosecutor that was examining the legal case opened against her son. Late in April, Oarza was caught in the act of taking US$1,300 from the woman as he managed to persuade the prosecutor and the case against her son was closed.
