"Moldova’s Children" in statistics
On the occasion of the International Children’s Day marked on June 1, the National Bureau of Statistics launched a new edition of the statistics collection “Moldova’s Children”, published with the financial support of the UNICEF Representative Office in Moldova.
The collection includes statistical data about the number of children, their sex and age, health insurance and educational institutions where they study, covering the period between 1995 and 2006. It also contains information about the literature for children, services provided by cinemas, theaters and bookshops for children and about the offered allowances, institutionalization of children, the situation of the families with children, etc. The statistical publication “Moldova’s Children” was published in 300 copies in three languages and is intended for teachers, doctors, artists, social assistants, people that work in different children’s organizations. The book is available in the library of the National Bureau of Statistics. The collection was compiled on the basis of the information provided by the National Health Management Center, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Youth, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Book Chamber and other institutions // Reporter.MD Publication date: 30 May 2008 Source: Archive
