LONDON, May 15 (UPI) -- A British man who said he believed his wife was cheating is under investigation for harassment after he put her up for sale on eBay.

Paul Osborn, 44, said he had heard rumors that his wife of 24 years, Sharon, was having an affair with a man at work, The Sun reported Thursday.

I started checking her emails and I realized the rumors were true, he said. They had been discussing their sex life together and making plans for the future. I was absolutely destroyed. I gathered all her stuff in bags and dumped it in the drive.

Osborn told The Sun he initially agreed to take his wife back but decided more drastic measures were needed after he again became suspicious. He created an eBay auction offering his cheating, lying, adulterous slag of a wife to the highest bidder. Bids reached more than $1 million.

Sharon Osborn denies cheating on her husband and has filed a police complaint against him for harassment, the newspaper report said.

MIDDLESBROUGH, England, May 15 (UPI) -- A British woman is demanding the firings of two hospital staff members after her answering machine recorded them describing her as a black-toothed alcoholic.

Sharon Roberts, 19, said an operator at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, England, failed to disconnect the phone call after leaving her a message about rescheduling an appointment, The Times of London reported Thursday.

Roberts said her answering machine then recorded the operator gossiping about her with a colleague.

That girl didn't think she had a problem, the operator said. One unit -- that's a half of lager, half a beer, or one of them small glasses of wine or a shot of spirit. She drinks 100 a week.

Roberts said the second staff member expressed surprise that she has a boyfriend, and the operator replied: Come on, who else is going to have her? Bless her. She smells, she had black teeth. She's a typical either druggie or alkie (alcoholic) because she's dead skinny.

Roberts said she has never been an alcoholic or drug addict.

I had anorexia when I was younger and that's why I'm so thin. I want compensation and I want them sacked, she said.

PALM BEACH, Fla., May 15 (UPI) -- Real estate tycoon Donald Trump has signed a contract to sell a Palm Beach, Fla., mansion for his asking price of $100 million, industry professionals say.

The 80,000-square-foot oceanfront property, under contract with an unidentified foreign purchaser, was snatched up by Trump in 2004 for a modest $41.35 million, The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Wednesday.

It speaks to the absolute wonder of Palm Beach and why everybody wants to be here, Susan Polan, of Illustrated Properties Real Estate of Palm Beach said of the transaction.

The Post said the home comes with all the luxuries one would expect from a $100 million mansion, including 6 acres of land, 475 feet of beach, nine bedrooms, an art gallery and a ballroom.

Trump wouldn't discuss the contract Wednesday but only said the home is built on the best piece of land anywhere.

HOUSTON, May 15 (UPI) -- Billions of Rasberry ants are invading homes in Houston as spring warms up, leaving many residents seriously annoyed and seeking help.

The tiny insects, named after Texas exterminator Tom Rasberry who first reported them in 2002, are infesting properties of many homeowners, the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday.

They crawl through the eaves of the house and go into the bathroom. You know what it's like to sit down on the commode with crazy ants running everywhere? said Patsy Morphew of Pearland, Texas.

Experts don't know where the ants came from but the little critters are quickly expanding their domain.

The Chronicle said Rasberry ants are unlikely to sting, but pose a threat to plants and electrical equipment.

This is the most difficult insect I've ever come across, Rasberry said.
