The local public authorities started to prepare for the summer season. New benches are being installed in recreational areas and the old ones are repaired and painted out. The services in charge will restore the beach cabins and the aqueducts affected in winter. The works are to be finalized until May 25.

According to the head of the Green Spaces Administration Association Eliferie Haruta, the lack of financial resources for renovating the beaches has been a major problem during the last 10-12 years.

In this connection, the Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the relevant subdivisions to find a solution to the problem.

Speaking about the preparation of the city for the summer season, Chirtoaca said that the street asphalting and marking works that started in Chisinau a month ago should be of a high quality. He emphasized he will personally supervise the given works // Reporter.MD
