“At the Sources of Wisdom” contest will be held in Chisinau on May 17

The national stage of the contest “At the Sources of Wisdom” will take place at the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” in Chisinau on May 17.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the eighteenth contest dedicated to writer Ion Druta aims to promote the reading and to familiarize the students with the life and activity of famous people from such fields as literature, culture and national and universal history. It is held in four stages: local, district/municipal, national and final.

Seventy students of the tenth-twelfth grades passed the first two stages of the contest that were completed late in April and will take part in the national stage. The ten winners of the national stage together with 10 winners from Romania will participate in the final stage of the contest that will be held in July at the birthplace of Ion Druta in Horodiste village in Soroca district.

The event forms part of the national program of cultural-artistic events dedicated to writer Ion Druta and is organized by the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and of the Ministry of Education and Youth.//REPORTER.MD
