Jockstrip: The world as we know it.LOS ANGELES, May 9 (UPI) -- Two Dodgers fans sitting next to one another at a game against the New York Mets in Los Angeles said they caught two consecutive foul balls. Glen Walker, who was sitting in Seat 1 of Dodger Stadium's Section 11, Row N, caught a foul ball hit by Dodger first baseman James Loney in the bottom of the fifth inning Wednesday -- and Joe Castro, who was sitting in Seat 2, caught a ball Loney hit on the very next pitch, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday. Castro said he was giving Walker a congratulatory high five for catching the first foul ball when he heard Loney's bat connect with the next pitch and saw another foul coming their way.
University of Southern California mathematics professor Kenneth Alexander told the Times the probability of the two foul balls going to two adjacent seats was GARDEN GROVE, Calif., May 9 (UPI) -- Police said security cameras that were stolen from a Garden Grove, Calif., business were switched on at the time and captured the theft on tape. Investigators said the cameras caught 45 minutes of footage during the May 1 broad-daylight theft, depicting a bald man removing his jacket and smoking a cigarette while he removed four security cameras from outside Revco Industries, The Orange County (Calif.) Register reported. Authorities said they had a good description of the thief. SEDONA, Ariz., May 9 (UPI) -- Arizona police said they were on the lookout for witnesses who may have spotted a nude man hiking on a nature trail. John Edward Mosley, 61, of St. George, Utah, halted his nude nature tour to chat with two women on Bear Mountain Trail just outside Sedona, Ariz., April 28, KNXV-TV, Phoenix reported. The women reported Mosley to a U.S. Forest Service worker, but authorities were unable immediately to locate him. The women later called authorities and said they spotted Mosley's Jeep and saw him on the Fay Canyon Trail. Mosley was taken into police custody and charged with indecent exposure after he was seen getting into his vehicle, KNXV said. The nude hiker was released and given a court date. ST. LOUIS, May 9 (UPI) -- A spokesman for Lambert-St. Louis International Airport in Missouri said a man found sleeping in a parked jet had walked through a manned security checkpoint. Airport spokesman Jeff Lea said the man -- who was discovered sleeping during a routine check of the jet at about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday -- apparently walked through the exit side of a vehicle checkpoint while officers staffing the checkpoint were busy on the entrance side, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Mason said the man told investigators he was at the airport to try to find a truck driver willing to give him a ride to Chicago and ducked inside the jet to escape from the rain. The police chief said the man, who officers planned to charge with trespassing, did not have any sinister motives for sneaking onto the jet.
