Veterans of Second World War to receive allowances from population social support fund
Veterans of the Second World War will receive 600 lei each from the Republican Population Social Support Fund, which allocated 8.4 million lei for this purpose.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Social Security, Family and Child, spouses of participants in the Second World War will receive a 500-lei allowance each, as a material assistance. Local public authorities, raion departments for social security, family and child, as well as territorial organizations of veterans will conduct various actions, devoted to the 63rd anniversary of the Victory. In the organizers’ words, veterans will have meeting with pupils, students and members of non-governmental organizations. It is planned to conduct topical “roundtables”, conferences, seminars with the participation of veterans. Cultural actions will be organized for them and with their participation. Volunteers will visit veterans, who will not be able to leave their houses, and will deliver them food parcels. Charity lunches will be organized, parcels with food and industrial products will be distributed among veterans.
