„Eurasia” Foundation announces the grant competition „Civic Education Campaign”
The representative of Eurasia to Moldova, with the financial support offered by the Swiss Agency for International Cooperation and Development (Sida/Asdi) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), announces the competition of grants „Civic Education Campaign”, DECA-press Agency communicates.
By means of this competition, the donors want to encourage the growth of the level of civic activism among active people with the right to vote from the Republic of Moldova, giving priority to communities from out of the capital. The types of activities eligible for funding include: supplements of newspapers; campaigns of civil awareness held by bus/bicycles; programs of electoral education on TV and radio; public concerts and other cultural events. Mass-media organizations, local and regional nongovernmental organizations are eligible. Fifty-nine couples chose to get married in Chisinau on 08.08.08
Given the symbolic connotation of the date 08.08.08, 59 couples decided to tie the knot at a common ceremony held in the square of the National Opera House in Chisinau. The ceremony was led by the showman Andrei Porubin, whose daughter Sanda Porubin was among the brides.
