The mayor of Chisinau celebrates the Union’s Day in Bucharest
The general mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, celebrates 90 years since the Unon of Basarabia with Romania, together with the president of Romania Traian Basescu and the mayor of Bucharest Adrian Videanu, DECA-press Agency communicates.
The press from Romania asserts that Traian Basescu, chose to meet the young mayor of Chisinau in Bucharest, in order to celebrate the event. Dorin Chirtoaca will participate at an exhibition with documents of the Union, where a discourse will be addressed to young Romanians from both banks of the Prut River. It is also planned that he will participate at a public conference „Basarabia la rascruce” and will have a lecture at an educational institution. In the evening, Chirtoaca and Romanian officials will be present t the concert held on Piata Universitatii, under the motto “Bucharest and Chisinau together in Europe”. The Union Act, edited and signed 90 years ago by the President of Sfatul Tarii from Chisinau, Ion Inculet, Vice-president Pantelimon Halippa and the secretary of Sfatul Tarii, Ion Buzdugan, said that “Basarabia joined Romania”. // DECA-Press Publication date: 28 March 2008 Source: Archive
