Valeriu Pasat: the decisions of the Supreme Court will not be to my advantage

The ex-minister of defence, ex-director of the Information and Security Service, Valeriu Pasat, considers that the decisions taken by the Supreme Court (SC) on April 2nd, regarding the two demands will not be to hi advantage.

A declaration in this context was made by him on the phone from Moscow for the TV channel PRO-TV-Chisinau, DECA-press Agency informs.

Before that, Pasat was condemned to ten years’ imprisonment. Yet, after being acquitted as far as the so-called frauds in the process of commercialization of 21 planes MIG-29, the term was reduced to five years. This fact permitted him to be amnestied.

The defence asks to acquit Pasat totally, and the accusation – to recover the term of detention of ten years.

Valeriu Pasat declared for the TV channel that he is influenced very much in order to give up the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova. He declared that he didn’t intend to do this thing and again confirmed his positions according to which his case is a political one.

Pasat declared he wouldn’t give up the idea of filing a complaint against the Government of Moldova at the European Court for Human Rights.// DECA-Press
