Two girls were arrested in flagrant being suspected of making repeatedly false calls regarding bombs in Building no.III of the State University of Moldova (USM).

The girls made a few times such calls, being arrested in flagrant by the representatives of the General Commissariat of Police Chişinău together with the Commissariat of Police of Buiucani, according to the police.

Each time, after receiving such phone calls, which were made only on Wednesdays, between 08:30 – 09:30, the USM building was being urgently evacuated, the crews of sappers making controls.

The police settled the calls were being made by Olga Cuzencov of 24 years old, studying at the Foreign Languages Department of the USM, and Alina Munteanu of 20 years old, from the same faculty. The latter was to be expelled for absences and debts.

Olga Cuzencov made the false calls as she wanted to help her friend to liquidate the debts.

The police initiated a penal case for “deliberate lying communication about terrorism acts”, which is to be punished with a fine from four to ten thousand lei, arrest up to six months, or three years imprisonment. // BASA-Press
