Dorin Chirtoaca considers that the cultural events for youth are not depicted enough in mass-media

The mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, is dissatisfied with the lack of interest of mass-media from the Republic of Moldova towards cultural events which promote young talents.
The statement was launched on Sunday, at the end of the Musical Contest for talented children „Rosu, galben si albastru” (Red, yellow and blue), held in the almost empty Organ House.

„We can be proud of these children, who, despite all hardships, promote their culture. Unfortunately, such events are not depicted in mass-media too much, that is why the public is not interested in it”, the mayor declared for DECA-press Agency.

The mayor's opinion was shared by Lucia Culev, chief of the Cultural Department of Chisinau Town Hall, who asserts that the festival „Rosu, galben si albastru” „is one of the few placest where we meet real art and where we feel that we are strong by what we live behind us”.

The festival-contest „Rosu, galben si albastru”, initiated at th idea of Stela Mitriuc and which is at the 16th edition already, is organized by the Cultural Department of the town hall of the capital. The participants at the festival are the pupils of schools and high schools, who attend musical schools after classes. The winners get awards of 300 to 500 lei, as well as annual scholarships of 1200 lei offered by the municipal authorities.

This year, the first prizes were given to Melisa Ursu and Ecaterina Silov, pupils of the School of Arts „Alexei Starcea” from Chisinau. // DECA-Press
