SC delayed the examination of the demands in Pasat\'s case

The Supreme Court (SC) cancelled the examination of two demands in the case of the former minister of Defence, former director of the Information Security Service, Valeriu Pasat.

The sitting was scheduled for Tuesday, but it could take place because the judge in charge of this case fell ill.

The date of the new sitting will be announced afterwards.

As DECA-press had announced before, Valeriu Pasat was condemned to 15 years' imprisonment – ten years for violations in the process of commercialization of airplanes MIG 21 ad five years – for violations in the process of commercialization of supplies for missiles „Uragan”. After having stayed in prison for one year and a half, Valeriu Pasat was acquitted in the first case, and amnestied in the second one.

The prosecutor doesn't agree with the factPasat had been acquitted in the case of MIG airplanes and asks for cancelling the decision.

At the same time, Valeriu Pasat's lawyers ask to acquit him as far as the accusations in the violations in the process of commercialization of supplies for the missiles „Uragan” are concerned. // DECA-Press
