The mayor of Ungheni opts for coming back to “sanitary Fridays”
In time of a meeting with the local economic agents, Alexandru Ambros, mayor of Ungheni, declared he wanted to come back to “sanitary Fridays” like it was long time ago, DECA-press Agency’s reporter in the territory transmits.
“It was a very good thing during URSS period, which we must resume today”, he specified. He explained that this practice denotes citizens’ involvement as well as the education of young generation. The mayor hopes that he will be supported in this initiative and that the days of arrangement and cleaning of the town, held on Fridays, will become a tradition in Ungheni. In another context, Alexandru Ambros opted for the foundation of a cleaning enterprise with foreign capital. “I believe that this is the most optimal solution at present, when the city hall doesn’t have enough money to solve all the problems as far as the cleaning of the town is concerned”, he mentioned. Today, according to the mayor, some negotiations are carried out with an Austrian company, well-known in Europe – AVE. // DECA-Press Publication date: 06 March 2008 Source: Archive
