LADOM intends to recommend the electoral authorities to fix a maximal age limit for the participation at the elections
The League for Human Rights Defence from Moldova (LADOM) asserts that the new elections which were held on Sunday in Buteni village, district of Hancesti, passed according to the principles of free and fair elections, DECA-press transmits.
LADOM diffused a press release in which it mentioned that at the same time, during the observation activity, it noticed some disorders as far as the way of organization of elections. As an example here may serve the fact that per two persons were permitted to enter one polling booth. „The elections were held according to the electoral legislation of the Republic o Molova”, is another conclusion the observers of LADOM came to. The press release also says that LADOM “intends to recommend the electoral authorities to fix a maximal age limit for participation at the elections”. At the same time, the League considers that «it is necessary to regulate the term of filing the demands of electors who want to vote «in a place where they live». // DECA-Press Publication date: 06 March 2008 Source: Archive
