Earthquake in Japan today
Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- The images captured from the devastating earthquake in Japan today are shocking: desperate people snugging under office desks, cars taken by the water and huge clouds of smoke over the city of Tokyo.
According to Realitatea.net, an 8.9 magnitude earthquake shook this morning, around 7:30, in the north-east coast of Japan.
Authorities have issued tsunami alert. Waves could reach six meters. The earthquake was felt in Tokyo.
A tsunami alert was issued for Russia, Marcus Islands, Hawaii and North Navies.
At least 200 people died and hundreds were injured, according to an interim report.
