Wintry weather in Moldova and Romania
The winter continues to make victims around the country. According to the Moldovan police officers, during the last 24 hours, five car accidents have been registered within the country. Six persons are injured and one is dead. They say that the main reason of the crashes is the bad weather conditions.
The snow falls as of Friday and it didn’t stop so far. According to the weathermen, the snowfall will stop on Monday, but the cold weather returns. The Moldovans expect to have a temperature of -27 Celsius degrees by the end of the next week.
Three flights which were due to take off from Chisinau International Airport are still grounded because of the bad weather conditions. The flights to Bucharest, Kiev and Sochi are cancelled because of the snow storms these cities deal with.
Romania is also having a hard time with the amount of snow falling for three days already. Eight national roads have been closed and several trains cancelled their routes. The workers can hardly handle the responsibilities they have during these snowy days.
