Utmost security at Moldova-England football game in Chisinau
More than 1,200 police officers will assure the public order during the football game which is to be played between Moldova and England on September 7 in Chisinau. The Domestic Affairs Minister Marin Maxian said the guardians are ready to maintain and in case of need, to restore the public order and security during the match.
Two points of security control will be established on Butucului Street and Burebista Street where all the fans and followers will be patted down for security reasons.
Five British policemen will help their Moldovan counterparts to assure the public order at Zimbru Stadium.
The Moldovan authorities are calling on those who want to watch the game at Zimbru Stadium to comply with the legal requirements and not to carry weapons or sharp objects with them. Moreover, the drunken persons or those carrying alcoholic beverages will be denied from entering the stadium.
The game is expected to be played on Friday at 21:45 local time (19:45 London time).
