During this weekend, about 2 feet of snow fell in some regions, so that more than 3 million homes across the Northeast part were devastated by the trees with overloading of snow branches that cracked and caused great damages.
About 600 million people lost electricity in the states. Officials speak about some days of work to restore the electricity. The largest electric and gas companies from New Jersey warned the users that these services may be disconnected for long times and suggested that the power could not be fully restored, so they have to limit their usage.
The snowfall also created difficulties on the roads, the traffic being blocked for a long time. It was also a delay for rescue teams to move at the most destroyed zones. The speed limits on the road were reduced, especially on bridges, and a bridge from Delaware was closed.
