US organizations, Moldovan energy regulator sign memorandum of understanding
The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (USAID), the Missouri Public Service Commission and the Moldovan National Agency for Regulation of Energy (ANRE) signed a memorandum of understanding today.
The memorandum sees a partnership programme between the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and ANRE, with the participation of the Missouri Public Service Commission, which will play the role of an initiative institution in this partnership. The programme will be implemented under an agreement on partnership between NARUC and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which will finance this programme.
The partnership programme is a way of exchanging experience and information at the administrative and executive levels, by organizing seminars, workshops between the US and Moldovan regulatory authorities. "This partnership will make it possible to mutually exchange ideas and information for the benefit of both countries," ANRE director-general Victor Parlicov has said.
