Turkish terrorist caught at Chisinau International Airport
Moldovan police officers caught a Turkish terrorist who is on INTERPOL wanted list, Moldova’s Interior Ministry informs.
The man was trying to enter Moldova after coming from Frankfurt am Main by plane. He was immediately arrested at the Chisinau International Airport. The source said the Turkish national wanted to visit his girlfriend in Moldova.
According to the police, the terrorist was convicted in Ankara to six years of detention for sponsoring terrorism actions, as well as being member of a terrorist organization.
The Ministry informs that the man is currently under preventive detention in Moldova and will be extradited to the Turkish authorities.
