By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau/ Moldova.ORG/ -- If you want to go to see a landmark, but to get three times more satisfaction, then I invite you in the Bucegi mountains, to visit the Urlătoarea Waterfall, which has more waterfalls, all united in one.
Urlătoarea is a waterfall created by the Urlătoarea River, in Romania, near the city Busteni, located at an altitude of 1100 meters, near the tourist route that leads from Busteni to Bucegi Plateau in the Valley of Jepi.
In addition to the main fall of the water (15 metres), there are other smaller water falls, extinted on a few dozen meters above the two streams, Urlătoarea Mare and Urlătoarea Mică.
The Urlătoarea Waterfall is one of the most spectacular falls in Romania, and the recommendation would be to be visit it in the rainy season, when water flow increases considerably, offering an incredible view.
The route to the waterfall is quite easy, and after about an hour's walk through conifer forest, there opens a sensational fall. The very way up to the waterfall is a phenomenal one and it offers incredible views.
The name of the cascade comes from strong noise that the waters in the fall do. A local legend says that the voice of the waterfall would actually stop the wailing of a shepherdess who, worried about the two brothers’ love, would have thrown off the cliffs.
Another local legend says that Queen Mary have a favorite place near the waterfall. She loved to go to "Mary's Armchair", a stone with a shape of princely seat, which was in the area of the cascade. The place of the stones is not exactly known and the road to it is not indicated and only those who know these places can find it.
In summer the waterfall is highly sought after for coolness it offers, but the feeling and the show of the fall may be admired in any season.
Accommodation in the area you can find Busteni, where is a large number of hostels of all categories. There is also other exceptional sightseeing (Harridans, Sphinx, Peleş Castle, Pelişor).
