This night Europe will sleep less by one hour

According to the proposal of the UN Economic Commission for Europe together with European Union member states, the last Sunday of March, a number of countries will switch to daylight saving time.

Thus, at 02.00 a.m. people in Europe, including in the Republic of Moldova, will switch the clocks forward one hour.

The daylight saving time provides more light in the afternoon for outdoor movement that should lead to a better overall health. However, a human body needs at least a month to adjust for daylight time, and doctors recommend rest and outdoor walks in the first two weeks upon the time switch.

Daylight time was reinstated in 1979 and recalculated in 1997, but it also was operational in the mid-20th century. The astronomical programs, this time is called "Daylight Saving". In the years 1979-1996 the clocks went forward in switch to daylight time on the last Sunday of March.
