The town of Cornesti will confront this year a deficit of qualitative potable water
The inhabitants of Cornesti town, which is a part of the district of Ungheni, will confront this year a deficit of qualitative potable water, DECA-press Agency communicates.
In the state budget for this year, there are no funds provided for delivering water to the locality, even if, according to a decision of the Government regarding the improvement of the social-economical situation of the localities from the district of Ungheni situated in the region of Cula river for the years 2006-2015, in 2007-2008, 4,6 million lei had to be allocated for this purpose.
The mayor of Cornesti, Ion Soltoianu, asserts that he had addressed demands to a series of law courts, including at the Government and at „Apele Moldovei”, in order to be helped to solve this problem. But I didn't receive any reply so far, and the budget of the mayoralty of 3 million lei cannot cover all the costs”, the mayor specified.
It is worth mentioning that, despite the fact the officials from Chisinau, who visited Ungheni in the last period of time, promised they would contribute to the resolution of this problem, for now, there have been no measures taken in this context. // DECA-Press
