The storms from the last few days caused losses of over 6 million lei
The storms with hail which covered Republic of Moldova in the period of April 29th – May 5th, caused material damage of over 6 million lei, DECA-press Agency transmits.
According to the data of the Department of Extreme Situations, the district of Stefan Voda was mostly affected by the storm held on May 1st, where 1,5 km of road have been destroyed, 244 hectares of orchards have been affected, 125 ha of vineyards and 2,5 thousand hectares of land. The assessed material damage constitutes nearly 4,8 million lei.
The storms have also caused a damage of nearly one million lei in the district of Ialoveni and nearly 1,4 million lei in the district of Drochia, where aricultural plants have also been affected.
Losses as a result of the storms have been also recorded in Ungheni, Floresti, Gagauzian Autonomy.// DECA-Press
