Why Predeal? Well, be attentively to the following.
Predeal resort is located in the Centre of Romania on the Prahova valley, between the rivers Timis and Prahova, at the foot of Bucegi Mountains to the North-East and at the foot of Baiul Mountains to the Northwest. The city of Predeal is located at the highest urban altitude in Romania, at 1030 m -1110 m altitude.
The resort or great attraction has an exceptional position that opens a splendid view to the Prahova and Timis Valleys, on mountain landscape of surrounding wooded mountains (Bucegi, Postavaru, Piatra Mare). It has the advantage of the excellent ski slopes (with varying degrees of difficulty) and transport on the cable (lifts, chairlifts, babyskilift), being a centre of practicing winter sports particularly appreciated (average thickness of the layer of snow exceed 40 inches in February).
Resort Predeal is also an important starting line for excursions in the surrounding mountains which are easily accessible. Here are organized celebrations, carnivals and various other events. Modern comfort, the relaxing atmosphere, the best resources of accommodation, the numerous possibilities for recreation- all these give a to the resort valences corresponding to international standards.
The resort is equipped with two lines and a cable car that provides access of tourists to the Postavar peaks, plus, more seasonal, ski lift lines.
