The Parliament forced the notaries to be more cooperative with the controllers from the Ministry of Justice. On Friday, the MPs adopted a law draft which gives the Ministry of Justice the right to suspend the notaries’ activity if they refuse to receive the controllers or to show them the asked documents, DECA-press Agency informs.
According to this document, if the notaries will go on refusing the control, the Ministry of Justice will be able to revoke their work permit.
The Ministry will form a committee whose function is to check the notaries’ activity. The committee will check if the notaries respect the law, complete the registers correctly, have archives, etc.
This law draft arose the dissatisfaction of the opposition who declared that this law will provide access to the Government to all documents including contracts. The opposition asked for its rejection but the majority voted for this law. // DECA-Press
